Dear Friend and Supporter,

For over 1,000 individuals in our community, the question is not, “Will I be home for the holidays?” but rather, “Will I have a home for the holidays?”

This holiday season, 32 women and 25 children will have a safe home and access to resources with Second Step Housing. Children will sleep in warm beds, mothers will have a place to cook meals, and families will reunite during this season of joy and peace.

With your help, lives are changed.

Your support changes lives. So far this year:

  • 60 women and 61 children have found safety and stability in our transitional housing program.
  • 14 mothers have reunited with 23 children.
  • Not one Second Step graduate has re-entered the shelter system.

But the work is not over.

The demand for safe, affordable housing is higher than it has ever been. Our agency receives over 30 applications each month, but we are only able to accept 20% of them. How are we working to fill this gap? Second Step Housing is committed to expanding our programs and adding more affordable housing units to Clark County. In 13 years we’ve gone from one house serving three women to 11 houses, 11 town homes, and 25 apartment units serving over 150 individuals yearly. Your support makes this growth possible.

Our goal this holiday season is to raise $10,000, but we can’t do it alone. Will you help families in need?
